    • After you’ve signed your contract and paid your deposit, I’ll ask you to complete the Website Questionnaire. This is your chance to share your goals, your vision, your likes, your dislikes - so that I can translate all of that into a Shopify website designed to work for your brand

    • With my web design and strategy hat on, I’ll design an interactive website mockup for you to approve and feed back on before I start the build and development stage

    • Your website will be built in Shopify, using custom development of a premium Shopify theme and bespoke design features.

    • After another round of revisions to make sure everything is perfect for you, you’ll get access to your new Shopify website, with email support and video guides provided so that you feel confident with your new site

    … and, to top it all off, every part of the website project is managed through Asana (my favourite project management tool) so that we both know what’s coming up and can keep everything on track!

  • How long it takes to design and develop your new Shopify store depends on how complex the project is, but as a guide the process can take 8 - 10 weeks. If you need lots of custom integrations and more website pages designed than usual, it will take up to 10 weeks - but for every project I’ll give you clear timelines and deadlines from the start.

  • This is a bespoke package that will be quoted based on your exact requirements, however the above deliverables would be £6500 for a bespoke site.

You need a new website fast, but you don’t want to compromise on having a store that makes your products shine. Essential Shopify is my streamlined package for building your online store efficiently using a premium Shopify theme.

No more putting off your website until you “have time.” No more frustration with DIY builds. Together, we’ll create a Shopify store that reflects the quality of your products, feels professional, and helps you stand out from your competitors - all while launching quickly and smoothly.

    • This package has everything you need to get a beautifully branded Shopify store up and running.

    • Website based on a premium Shopify theme that has been carefully selected for your business (worth up to £400). (For a bespoke website with hand-coded sections, please see my Elevated Ecommerce package)

    • This is a set package with the following pages: Homepage, About page, Collections page template, Product page template, Contact page, Cart and policy pages set up (policies not written). Additional pages are available on request

    • Apps include: Email marketing signup forms using Shopify’s in-built email tool so that you can grow your email list and reviews app. Plus your first 5 product listings uploaded for you.

  • The core package costs £4000 for a brand new website, including the cost of your theme.

The process of designing & developing your custom Shopify website with Finding Design

  • Everything starts the moment you fill in an enquiry form (with as much detail as possible!). Once you’re in my inbox, I’ll review your enquiry to see if the project’s the right fit for us both. If it is (yay!) I’ll send you an email to get a Zoom chat booked in!

    After we’ve spoken, I’ll send you a custom proposal for your Shopify website, outlining how I can design and develop your new site for you, as well as details like scope, timelines and payment plans.

  • If everything looks good to you, I’ll send you an invoice to pay your deposit. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be invited to my project management tool, Asana (where we chat, plan your website and keep everything on track) and you’ll also get a website questionnaire to complete.

    This is an in-depth ‘get-to-know-you’ questionnaire where I’ll ask you to share as many details as possible about your brand, your products, your values, your ideal customers and anything else that will help me to design the website of your dreams. I’ll also ask you to send me your brand identity, website images and website copy before I get designing (but if you don’t have those bits yet, head to the FAQs!).

  • Now’s your chance to sit back, relax and enjoy life, knowing that your new website is being designed while you run your business!

    Before getting to the development stage, I’ll build an interactive mockup of what your new website could look like, which is your chance to provide feedback, suggestions and edits before I dive into developing your website in Shopify.

  • After another round of revisions to make everything perfect, your website is done! I’ll ask you to make your final payment (or the first installment of your payment plan) and then I’ll hand over the keys to your shiny new Shopify website so you can launch it to the world!

    You’ll also get lots of recorded training videos, instruction guides and 3 weeks of email support too - so that you can get to grips with your new Shopify website and feel confident in managing it yourself moving forwards.

Ask away! Choosing a Shopify developer to build your website can feel daunting - there are a lot of developers out there, but how do you know which one’s right for you?

I want you to feel confident that you’ve made the best decision in choosing Finding Design - so if you have any questions before you reach out for a quote, please ask!

  • All Shopify websites start with a theme base, no matter how much they are customised, as they act as the foundation for your store.

    • Theme-based (Essential Shopify): I take a premium Shopify theme and style it to your brand. The layout, colours, typography, and homepage are customised, but the layout is limited to sections and features that are available in the theme, without additional custom coding. This gives you a polished, professional store quickly, efficiently and a lower investment than a bespoke website.

    • Bespoke (Elevated E-Commerce): I also start with a premium theme or my own modified base theme, but then fully customise it using HTML, CSS, and Shopify Liquid to create custom sections and layouts. Every section, layout and detail is tailored to your brand, giving you a unique store that goes beyond the limitations of the theme. The theme acts as a starting point, but the final result is entirely bespoke in appearance and function.

    In short: all Shopify stores use a theme, but the level of customisation to create new and unique designs is what makes a store theme-based or fully bespoke.

  • Essential Shopify is perfect if you want a refined strategic store that launches quickly and professionally and you're happy to stick within the constraints of a premium Shopify theme.

    Elevated Ecommerce is perfect if your priority is a completely unique, brand-led store that stands out visually.

  • Because, quite frankly, Shopify is the best option out there!

    For product-based businesses like yours, you need a website that handles product listings, inventory management, shipping logistics and everything in between - without needing to do everything manually. And that’s exactly what Shopify does.

    It’s built with e-commerce business in mind, unlike most other website platforms, so it does everything you’d expect it to do straight out of the box. Combine that foundational e-commerce specialism with bespoke design and Shopify development and you’ll have a custom e-commerce website that works for your brand in no time!

  • It is! The back end of Shopify is designed to be simple for anyone to use. It makes inventory management easy, there are plenty of apps you can use to streamline other parts of your business, and the platform itself is clear. Plus, you’ll get personalised video guides from me and there’s a lot of support available directly through Shopify too.

    Long story short, it’s very easy for you to manage your Shopify website once I’ve designed and developed it!

  • Collaboration and communication are so important in the website design process! I might be the one designing and developing your website, but it’s still your website - so it’s really important to me that you’re as happy as you possibly can be with it!

    I’ve finessed my website design process over the years into a carefully mapped out journey that keeps you in the loop at every stage and makes the most of your valuable input. Any and all feedback is always encouraged and will help to make sure you leave with a Shopify website you love.

  • Yes please! Having your website copy and brand photography ready before I start designing your website means that I’ll be able to build a website that really represents your brand and puts your key messaging front and center to increase conversions.

    If you don’t yet have your copy and photography ready, it’s fine to book your Shopify website design in advance - and I can give you guidance for resources or other businesses who can help you with copy and photography. Then, once your copy and photography is ready, we can start your Shopify website right away!

  • Projects can be divided up into 4 x payments of which a 50% deposit must be made before the project start date.

  • No, the theme-based package is styled with your brand identity, fonts, colours, images and varying the structure -  you’ll be surprised at how these elements and varying the layout can transform a theme. It will be unique to your brand, even though it uses a theme as a starting point. That said, if you want something truly bespoke and unique to your brand, then I recommend looking at my bespoke package instead.
